The U3A Mauritius was confirmed as member of the INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITIES OF THIRD AGE (IAUTA) on 12 September 2013 at UPPSALA, SWEDEN.

Former Minister of Education, Arts and Culture and Minister of Education and Sciences of Mauritius from 1983 to 1995.
He was Advisor to the World Bank from 1997 to 1998. He was subsequently appointed as Director and Representative of UNESCO from 1998 to 2011.
Mr. Parsuramen is also the Founder President of the Global Rainbow Foundation (GRF). The GRF is a charity foundation, the aim of which is to give support to the underprivileged and disabled through education and training.

Mr. Ajit Kumar Gujadhur occupied the post of Director of Human Resources at Air Mauritius from 1989 to 2002.
He has also been the President of the Airlines Association for Human Resource Directors, President of the Mauritius Employers’ Federation, President of the Industrial & Vocational Training Board and President of the Hotel School of Mauritius.
He has a long and diversified track record in tertiary education in New Zealand, Mauritius and France. He is a foreign member of the Air and Space Academy since 1996 and Fellow of the World Academy of Productivity Science since 2007.
